Fantasy Action RPG for up to four people based on the award-winning novel by Kobo Abe. The story of Tarnished. The setting is an enormous world that has existed for thousands of years and which has a charming mixture of fantasy, horror, and science fiction. The recently deceased and king of the world, Elden, has two brothers. The elder brother is Uthen, the king of the northern lands, and younger brother is Faren, the king of the western lands. The brothers are in a bitter rivalry for the heart of an impetuous and beautiful princess, who is entranced by the young king, Elden. Elden’s soul is in Uthen’s hands, who is determined to consolidate his power. But Elden dies mysteriously, and the youngest prince becomes king. He is a young adult who lives only because of the Luster and power he wields. He has a refined air about him, and is a character that completely differs from his two brothers. At first, Uthen and Faren, thirsting for revenge, try to gain power by dividing the kingdom and striking back at Elden in his death. However, the pieces of the destiny the brothers had fought so hard for have begun to fall into place and everyone on the battlefield has their own personal motives.

When you level up in combat you can choose from a list of classes, each of which has a different “resume skill” that can only be increased further at higher levels. Some classes have skills that are better at doing certain things than others. So while leveling up your skills will increase your damage, different classes may have some that work better at defending, for example. The combat is interesting, and I found myself wanting to level up most of the skills just for the own sake.”
